Las Cuevas, Koura Fluorite Mine

The Koura team approached us during a change within their mining process. Switching from subsidence to long drilling. This change signified an increased need for an effective system to remotely manage miners, vehicle assets, hours of production and the total mine output.

This change also prompted the reassessment of their safety infrastructure. The new process involved an increase in blasting and therefore the need for increased controls.

We implemented a few solutions. Proximity Detection & Collision Avoidance, Missing Person Locator, and Digital Optimisation solutions are all used throughout the operation.

Koura also requested the management & tracking of the mine-clearing process. The solution sweeps the area, enforces the gate-locking action, and reports on each Mine Clearing Supervisor’s actions before the blast can be triggered.
